Thames Water SEA of WRP

This project involves completing an SEA of Thames Water’s Water Resource Plan using methodology developed by Cascade for UKWIR. The work comprises of the following tasks:
- Completion of scoping report subject to UKWIR methodology and approval by Thames Water
- Review of significance criteria for each E&S topic in order to be able to classify significance of impacts
- Utilisation of updated BPEP output to assess schemes, including carbon footprint where possible
- Preparation of visual evaluation matrix showing type and significance of impacts for each scheme
- Comparison of visual evaluation matrix with AISC/AIC to check scheme ranking for compilation of WR programmes
- Discursive explanation of results and conclusions
- Assessment of cumulative effects of programmes and preparation of CEA visual evaluation matrix for each programme 8) Discursive explanation of results and conclusions
- Review of WRP programmes and need to assess alternatives with lower environmental impact
- Proposal of potential alternative programmes
- Re-assessment of alternative programmes and CEA
- Preparation of Environmental Report, incorporating scoping report; above analysis; signposting where E&S considerations are taken into account in WRMP; and highlighting influence that SEA process has had on plan formulation
- Consultation on Environmental Report alongside draft WRMP
- Preparation of SEA Statement for publication alongside final WRMP.
